Chocolate Milk?

Tonight while I was nursing Isabella Alex asked me, "Momma, do you have any chocolate milk in there?"

2 Weeks Old

Baby Sister is two weeks old. We went to see Dr. Vazzano yesterday. She weighs 8 pounds and is now 21 inches long. She is still sleeping like an angel. In fact, she is sleeping on me right now, making it quite difficult to type! She likes the pack-in-play, bassinet and Alex's crib. She doesn't like the baby seats or the swing yet. Her favorite place is on me or Jay. She is such a cuddle bug. She took her first bath this week. She wasn't too crazy about it. Big Brother Alex absolutely adores her, but I must admit she is incredibly easy to love!

House Update

We are 1 week away from moving into our new home. The walls have been painted, the cabinets and built-ins are in place, the floors are being stained, and the lights and fixtures are almost finished. Next week the granite and carpet, as well as the rest of the finishing touches will be in place! Here are a few pictures from month 5 and 6 of Project Build Beynon!

First Day of School

Alex started preschool yesterday. We go one morning a week to Chestnut Grove "Two-and-You" program. He made us so proud. He played nicely, spoke to the teacher when she talked to him, listened to the book during story time and participated in the songs. I can't believe how big my baby is getting!

1 Week Old

I can't believe that Isabella Grace is already a week (and a half) old. I have been loving every moment of having her here. Already, I can't even remember what life was like without her. She is such a sweet little sleepy girl. She hardly makes a peep! When she is awake, she is so alert. She looks right into your eyes. I think she looks more and more like her daddy everyday!

Happy Labor Day!

Labor Day is my new favorite holiday! Isabella Grace Beynon was born at 9:48 A.M. on September 1, 2008. I went in to labor at 3:30 in the morning. By 6:30 my contractions were only 3 minutes apart, so we headed to the hospital. The next few hours were pretty painful as my contractions got closer and we waited for the doctor to get to the hospital. By 9:15, we were headed to the operating room and by 9:30 I had my spinal. Sweet Relief! My mom and Jay were there to witness her birth - it was one of the two most precious moments of my life. They held her up so I could see her and said, "It's a girl." My response was "THANK GOD!" She was perfect! She weighed 7 pounds 10.6 ounces and is 20 1/2 inches long.

She is absolutely beautiful. She looks a lot like Alex as a baby, but has her own dainty girly looks too. She has been an angel. She even slept through the night last night. I had to wake her up to eat! Things are going well - a little hectic, but that is to be expected. Alex loves his "baby sister" and is always making sure he has an eye on her. When she cries he says, "Don't cry baby sister. I'm right here. I am your big brother!"

I am so blessed! I have the most wonderful little family. A husband who has been wonderful through all of the craziness, a little prince, and now my baby princess. What more could I ask for?
